JERN Backpack
JERN is a group project where we were tasked to create a line of bags for a specific group of people. We focused on creating a line of bag for consumers in the music industry. Another component of the project was designing for the manufacturing process.
This Project had a heavy focus on creating accurate personas so we had a good idea of the people that JERN would be designing for. Primary and secondary research was done to figure out what these people do, what their days look like, what things they value, etc.

The JERN Backpack was design for entry level/traveling music producers. they typically need to pack certain pieces of equipment with them every time they plan on getting into a studio. they typically pack things like a portable MIDI controller, laptop, Audio interface, headphones, and more depending on their plans.

Bags with a similar structure were taken apart and used as a reference to create stitching patterns for manufacturing.
To help further the understanding of the construction of the bags, tech packs (only one page shown) and a bill of materials were created for the manufacturers
